Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 June 2026

By downloading or using Saplio (the “app”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Saplio is

Saplio helps families track allowances, set savings goals, and learn about investing through a simulation. It is an educational tool for personal use — not a bank, a brokerage, or a financial-advice service.

The investment feature is a simulation

The investing feature shows how a portion of a child’s balance would track a market index. No real money is invested, no securities are bought or sold, and balances in the app are not real funds. Index data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, or tax advice.

Your data

You are responsible for the device and Apple ID you use. Your family data is stored in your iCloud as described in our Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

Premium features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions or other purchases through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and a subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings. Purchases are subject to Apple’s terms.

Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the app — for example, do not attempt to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any data (including index prices) is accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saplio and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made based on the app or its simulated figures.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We will revise the “Last updated” date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
